My inspiration was the patterns of light hitting my canvas. I remember seeing faces in the light, so I decided to paint them. The color choice was made in the spare of the moment as well as all the details. I did this painting all from my imagination. I call it the Monkey mind because it reminds me of the Chinese medicine way to describe a busy or cluttered mind that is restless like a monkey.
