I created this painting with the intention of representing the dual nature of the tiger. The tiger is powerful and dangerous, but it can also be very peaceful. Keeping this in mind I picked a palette that was peaceful in the background with the contrasting strong warm colors of the tiger. I used acrylic paint, and at the time I painted it I did my best to push the material to the best of my abilities.
